Welcome to our class blog. We are a group- of 21 students from Grades 4 to 6. Our classroom is a mix of Montessori and mainstream learning. There are 8 girls and 13 boys. We live in Cap-e Town, South Africa. We learn English, Afrikaans and Xhosa (a local Africa language) in school.
Our school day starts at 8:00am and ends at 2:40pm. We have a 20min break at 10am and a 30min break at 12:30. In the afternoons we either go to "Homework club", aftercare or sport. Some of us go home early.
Our uniform is either a beige shirt or shorts, navy knee socks for the boys or white ankle socks for girls. We both wear a white golf shirt with our school's badge on the pocket.
Congratulations on starting the new class blog. I teach 6th grade (11-12 year olds) in Noel, Missouri USA. I have been blogging with students for six years, and I am still learning new things all the time. I have found very few classroom blogs in South Africa, you are real pioneers!
